My Story
About
Ayana Prewitt is a 21 year old dreamer with aspirations that obtain her. Ayana is a junior psychology major, media, journalism, and film minor from Los Angeles, CA by way of Houston, TX, studying at Howard University. Ayana is a true representative of versatility as she exhibits skills in acting, scriptwriting, editing, directing, and so much more.
Ayana is extremely passionate about advocacy. She is a firm believer that you must advocate for change in order to obtain change. While having vast experience in the legal field as a mentee to federal Judge Byrdsong to being selected to participate in law programs at schools such as Yale Law School and University of Miami School of Law, Ayana has actively utilized her voice to be an advocate for others, specifically in regard to human rights. This led Ayana to major in psychology to further understand how our brains operate and how the disparities Black and Brown individuals face on a day-to-day basis can alter our minds.

As she is very passionate about advocacy, while studying at Howard University as a psychology major and tv and film minor, she discovered how to advocate and use her voice in a way that she did not know was possible. Through writing scripts, directing short films, and editing everything she found a way to merge her passions. She utilized her voice all while making sure to work towards her dreams of creating art within the entertainment industry.
Ayana aspires to be a storyteller and illustrate advocacy for all through the lines. She wants to be a voice for the voiceless through writing and producing content that makes individuals feel heard and loved. Ayana has a dream that once felt impossible but through writers such as Shonda Rhimes, Issa Rae, and Spike Lee, she has seen that it is possible!
